Before the Event 🧭
Q: What is IT-DAY?
A: IT-DAY is Denmark’s largest IT-career fair. It connects IT-Profiles like you with exciting companies from all over Denmark. You can explore career opportunities, internships, student jobs, and graduate positions — all in one place.
Q: Who can participate?
A: Everyone with an interest in IT! Whether you’re studying, a recent graduate, or have a few years of experience, IT-DAY is for you.
Q: How much does it cost to join?
A: Participation is 100% free for all IT-Profiles. Just sign up in advance.
Q: Do I need to bring anything?
A: Not really. But it’s a good idea to bring your CV (digital or printed), and maybe a list of companies you're interested in. You don’t need to dress up – come as you are.
Q: How do I register?
A: You register via our website. Once you're signed up, you’ll receive updates and a reminder before the event.
On the Day 🗓️
Q: What should I expect at IT-DAY?
A: At IT-DAY, you’ll meet 30-50 of the most exciting IT companies in Denmark and connect directly with professionals who work in the roles you might aspire to in the future. Throughout the day, you’ll experience inspiring keynote presentations on cutting-edge tech topics, and you’ll get a fast introduction to many of the attending companies through our Hyper Presentations — quick 1-minute pitches where each company presents themselves to the crowd.
You’ll also discover a wide range of opportunities, including student jobs, full-time roles, internships, graduate programs, and even project collaborations. On top of that, companies will showcase the diverse technologies they work with, giving you a unique chance to get hands-on insight. And if you’re lucky, you might even win one of the unique prizes we give away during the day.
Q: Is there a program for the day?
A: Yes! A detailed schedule with speaker sessions and company activities will be available online and at the venue.
Q: Can I talk to companies even if I’m not looking for a job right now?
A: Absolutely. Many come to get inspired and see what’s out there. Companies are happy to talk, even if you’re just curious - and vice versa, not every company is necessarily looking to hire at the time of the fair - some want to get their name out there for brand awareness or get to know you.
Q: Do I need to visit every company?
A: Not at all. You decide how you want to explore the fair – whether you talk to a few or many is up to you. However, we recommend stopping by as many booths as possible - you never know if you'll discover something new.
Opportunities & Follow-Up 🎯
Q: What kind of companies will be there?
A: Everything from Government Institutions to startups and large tech giants, covering industries like software, AI, consulting, gaming, finance, and more.
Q: What kind of roles do companies offer?
A: Everything from internships and student jobs to full-time roles in development, data, cybersecurity, UX/UI, DevOps, and more.
Q: Will companies follow up with me after the event?
A: Some might if you share your CV or contact details. You’ll also get a follow-up email from us with extra materials and job links.
Other Questions 🧑💻
Q: What if I’m introverted or nervous about networking?
A: You’re not alone! Most of our participants feel the same way. Start with a company you’re curious about and ask a simple question — they’ll take it from there.
Q: Is there food and drinks?
A: No, not as standard. The participating companies might brings beverages and snacks - but it would be a good idea to bring a filled water bottle.
Q: Can I come with a friend?
A: Of course! It’s actually a great idea. Just make sure both of you register.
Q: Will there be photos or videos taken?
A: Yes, but you can always let our team know if you prefer not to be included on close ups.
Q: How can I prepare for IT-DAY?
A: Read our guides on our blog, check the company list, and maybe prepare a few questions. But don’t overthink it – being curious and open is enough.
